Nombre común: Churrete acanelado.
Distribución: Amplia distribución en Sudamérica; presente en Chile (poblaciones chilenas hoy frecuentemente tratadas como C. albidiventris).
Presente en Chile (sensu Vaurie 1980, en sentido amplio).
En la taxonomía actual el complejo fuscus suele dividirse; las poblaciones chilenas/andinas se asignan a menudo a Cinclodes albidiventris.
Autoridad omitida por Vaurie (1980); completada editorialmente y verificada contra taxonomía estándar (IOC/Birds of the World; cotejo GBIF). Descrita originalmente en Anthus (Anthus fuscus Vieillot, 1818), de ahí los paréntesis.
